You cannot send an SMS message to a contact who opted in to receive email communications, you need to have explicit opt-ins for each channel to be able send messages. Contacts need to be provided with an easy way to opt-out from receiving messages. The unsubscribe option using our short link is the ideal solution to manage opt-outs.

RMC uses a number of external operators to deliver the messages. You can view and analyse the results from the Campaign Reports or use the Campaign Performance Reports to benchmark against your other marketing channels.

Getting Started

To begin with you will need to contact your Account Manager or RMC Support about purchasing and setting up the following:

  • SMS Sending Credits – SMS sending credits are required before you can send any SMS campaigns.

  • Sending Identity – The sending identity is the 'From' name of the SMS. You can setup more than one identity if you wish.
  • Short Code and Keyword – You will need a short code and keyword if you want recipients to be able to respond to you and opt-in or out from your SMS campaigns.
