Sending test messages.

Before sending out an SMS campaign to your contacts, you may want to test it to make sure it looks right and operates in the intended manner. Sending test messages to members of your team or any designated recipient is very simple by using the RMC Test feature.


The SMS test will be deducted from your SMS credits. Sending a test is optional and is not a required step to send your campaign.



Creating a Test List  

Haven't you created an SMS campaign yet? You may want to start by creating your SMS campaign first to be able to send it to a test list.

To create a test list:  

  1. Go to Settings, select Campaign Management.

  2. Select Subscription Management.

  3. Click on Test Lists.

You can also view, edit and add your Test Lists from the Campaign Management Panel screen.



Sending an SMS Campaign to a Test List 

To send a test campaign:  

  • Go to Campaign, select SMS, click on Test. 
    OR
  • Select your campaign to test from the Draft campaigns in the Campaign Management Panel.



You will redirected to the SMS Test screen, where you can:

  • Select an SMS Campaign from the drop down list.
  • Select Test List from the drop down and click Send to List to start the test.



Viewing the Results of your Test Campaign 

To view the results of your test campaigns:

  • Go to Campaign > Campaign Management Panel.
  • Click the Test tab and filter your results by channel to view your SMS campaigns.


Results Summary


  • Delivered – shows the number of messages that have been successfully delivered.


  • Waiting – shows the number of pending SMS messages to be sent.
  • Expired this indicates that the time period allowed for message delivery expired, and as a result the message was not delivered. 


  • Failed – shows the number of messages that failed to deliver.
