Why should I be using Recommend?

RMC Recommend enables you to extend personalisation beyond your website to deliver automated, personalised experiences across email, mobile and social channels - resulting in greater customer lifetime value, increased conversions and ROI. Recommend comes with an extensive library of built-in self learning algorithms and lifecycle marketing campaigns – allowing you to execute personalised product recommendations and powerful campaigns right out of the box.

Here are a few more reasons why Recommend should be part of your company's marketing infrastructure:

  • Unified data  RMC allows you to connect, collect and unify data from various sources. Integrate your off-platform data, such as POS or order management, and merge it with cross channel behavioural and profile data, including ratings, reviews and surveys, as well as additional marketing data, such as product catalog and coupon codes.

  • Deep segmentation  Our Advanced Segmentation gives you the power to use customer data from email, web, mobile, social and offline channels - including cross channel behaviour, purchase history and customer interests. This complete view of your audience allows you to effectively segment, target and personalise your messages.

  • Orchestrated personalisation  You don't want to send an offer to a shopper who abandoned their cart online and since then completed the purchase in the store. RMC links customer data from online and offline channels, preventing repeat communications and allowing marketers to deliver the right message every time, everywhere.

  • Continuous improvement – Experiment with different strategies using our built-in A/B Testing feature to find the right campaign for every stage of the customer lifecyle and optimise your results.

  • Control every aspect of your recommendations – RMC gives you control to adjust priorities and rules to meet your specific business goals to customise built-in recommendations.

  • Revenue analysis and attribution – Recommend allows you to access and analyse the revenue impact of recommendation campaigns across channels in real-time through a single Performance Dashboard. See the breakdown of revenue across channels and campaigns to optimise your marketing mix and budget.

What can Recommend do for my Business?

Recommend helps you optimise and customise real-time suggestions across channels, devices, apps, pages and lifecycles to increase engagement, customer lifetime value and conversions while reducing management effort.

Automate Your Lifecycle Marketing Campaigns

It's more than campaigns that welcome, thank, reward, and win-back through email. It's a holistic approach to ensure your customers remain loyal to your brand by receiving the right message, at the right time, across all touchpoints.

Here are a few examples of out of the box customer lifecycle campaigns that our clients use to significantly increase customer retention and revenue:

  • Browse abandonment campaigns – Send known visitors who browse without adding anything in their cart an email to bring them back to your site to incentivise them to make a purchase. Recommend products and categories based on each visitors individual browsing history, and show recently viewed items (product or category) to motivate additional purchases.

  • Cart abandonment campaigns – Encourage would-be customers to complete their purchase when they leave items in their shopping cart. Automatically send known visitors an email that includes the items they selected onsite and also recommend related items based on their selection to inspire further shopping.

  • Post-purchase campaigns – Post-purchase emails provide a strong cross-sell opportunity. Include product recommendations triggered by the customer's purchase history to increase customer lifetime value.

  • Replenishment campaigns – Trigger personalised replenishment emails based on each individual customer's purchasing cycle, and remind customers to repurchase products just before they run out, automatically. Increase customer lifetime value and increase your customer retention rates.

Enhance the Customer Experience Across Your Entire Web and Mobile Sites

Adding personalised product and content recommendations to your web and mobile site aids in product discovery, increases page views, time on site, average order value and revenue. RMC's self-learning recommendation engine works in real-time, detecting product and customer behaviour updates as they happen and updating recommendations accordingly, resulting in better experiences and more conversions.

Here are a few examples of plug and play recommendations that our clients use to aid product discovery, increase average order value and revenue:

How do we know Recommend works?

We provide you with a performance dashboard that gives you up-to-date performance and revenue figures from your website. In the same dashboard, we also show the revenue that can be attributed to Recommend campaigns. We measure this attribution as follows:

  • Web Recommend When a customer clicks a recommendation on your web or mobile site and purchases that product in the same session, we attribute this revenue to Recommend.
  • Email RecommendWhen a subscriber arrives at your web or mobile site after clicking recommendation in an email campaign, all purchases made by that subscriber are attributed to Recommend.

Additionally, RMC offers a built-in A/B Testing feature that allows you to test and compare the performance of two recommendation widgets against each other, against different user segments or a control group.
