A/B Test allows you to observe the results of different e-mail campaigns to be in action in the most efficient way.

It can be difficult to estimate how e-mail marketing strategies have an impact on customers. In this respect it is important to choose the appropriate e-mail strategy with analyzing customers interests and needs.  

Along with A/B Tests,marketers can test different e-mail strategies which are estimated interesting in customers point of view, so improving strategies and reaching targeted conversion rates can be possible associated with A/B Tests' results.

First an e-mail campaign has to be created to apply A/B Test. Please click to see how e-mail campaigns are created.

The names of campaigns which are applied A/B Tests, have to be started with TEST. Otherwise, they are not going to be shown on campaign screen.


A/B Test Campaign Selection

A/B Test Campaign Selection Important Tips:

  • Campaigns can be displayed on A/B Test Selection screen if they be a part of any two of groups are "Test sending done" and "Spam analysis does not exceed 7 days"
  • To apply A/B Test "Track E-mail Opening Report" and "Track Click to Open Rate Report" options must be select during determine to sending options in E-mail create step.
  • A/B Test can be applied to minimum 2 / maximum 5 different test groups at the same time.
  • Topic Line Optimization should be existed.

After determine to the A/B Test Campaign Name and select the campaigns which you will apply A/B Test, you will link to A/B Test Campaign Sending screen when you press the continue button. .



A/B Test Campaign Sending Options 

You can determine sending options of your campaign in this page. You can find detailed explainings of A/B Test Send Criterias into the E-mail Send Criterias.

The options which are determined in that area apply to all A/B Tests.

A/B Test Parameters

This is an area which you determine A/B Test Parameters for your A/B Test Campaigns.


Test Group Size

This is an area which you determine to Test Group Size using with percentage.

Receivers are selected randomly according to percentage which you determined before from your customers. Therefore test group seperate evenly to campaigns and A/B Test sends.

Test Duration

This is an area which you determine how many times do you wait before you anounce winner campaign after A/B Test campaigns are sent.

Selection CriterionThis is an area which you determine the campaign according to Open or Click rate.

Approve

This is an are which you approve your campaign with controlling before send to customers. This area allows you to calcuate and see receivers size, reorganize your campaign if the spam rate is high and re-select the receiver group. 


When you click to "Continue" button after selecting "I have read and accept the terms and conditions of the campaign sending rules" option, campaign will be ready to send. And then you will be redirected to Campaign Control Panel .


Report Display

A/B Test sending process can be followed on Campaign Control Panel, moreover campaign sending can be started after A/B Test done.

To display the results of campaigns A/B Tests:

  • You can use Campaign > Campaign Management Panel pattern.
  • You can display E-mail A/B Test sending results with using Channel filter on A/B Test posts under the Active tab. 



About Results

  • Sent – Total number of e-mails which were sent out from the RMC mail servers. This include all the e-mails delivered as well as bounced.

  • Soft Bounce – Either account subscriber limit has been exceeded or system administrator has  banned the delivery to this address.

  • Hard Bounce – This e-mails could not be delivered because the email address does not exist or has been deleted. 

  • Total Opens–  The total number of times that the email messages has been opened. Regardless of how many times a contact opens the email message, every time is counted. 

  • Other– Total number of unopened emails. 

  • Clicked / Read The total number of email messages clicked.
