Cohort

Based on how long the site visitors maintain a certain behavior over a certain time period, the page presents the characteristic behavior of the visitors on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

With Cohort analysis, it is possible to see how many of the visitors are held.

Cohort page; you can get it by selecting Segment> Retention Analytics> Cohort.

  1. From the date selection box, the start date to be included in the analysis is selected. MANDATORY
    The results of the analysis will be reported according to the interval from the date specified here until the current day.

  2. It is determined that the cohort analysis to be reported is based on Visit or Transaction(Event). MANDATORY

  3. Cohort is the area where the results of the analysis report are determinded that should be displayed daily, weekly or monthly. MANDATORY
    It is possible to analyze up to a maximum of 12 periods, regardless of the start date and analysis frequency.

  4. In the analysis report, if a specific channel (web, mobile, offline data etc.) is requested; determined from this area. OPTIONAL

  5. When the Cohort analysis report is requested to be reported over a specific segment, the segment to be analyzed is selected from this area. OPTIONAL

  6. When the Cohort analysis is to be reported by filtering to specific dimensions, the Use Filter option should be selected. OPTIONAL
  • After the configuration steps are completed, the analysis report is displayed with the Run button.
  • The configuration can be saved with the Save As New button and can be used for next reporting.

Analysis Report

Visit Based Analysis Report 

The people data in the cohort analysis table shows the number of people who made the selected transaction for the first time. Therefore, in the later periods, even if that person does the same thing again, it is not included in the people data of the relevant period.

According to the above configuration;

  • The site was visited by 3.792.511 people between 30.10 - 05.11 on the site. 

  • Of the 3,792,511 people who visited the site for the first time between 30.10 and 05.11, 41.85% visited the site again the following week (06.11 - 12.11). 

  • Of the 3,792,511 people who visited the site for the first time between 30.10 and 05.11, 27.14% visited the site two weeks later (13.11 - 19.11)..

  • Of the 3,792,511 people who visited the site for the first time between 30.10 and 05.11, 25.51% visited the site again three weeks later (20.11 - 26.11).

  • Of the 3,792,511 people who visited the site for the first time between 30.10 and 05.11, 20.88% visited the site again after four weeks (27.11 - 03.12).

  • Between 30.10 and 05.11, 15.93% of the 3.792.511 people who visited the site for the first time visited the site again after five weeks (04.12 - 07.12).

Event Based Analysis Report 

It is also possible to report cohort analysis for the actions taken by visitors on the site. After the analysis type is set to Event;

  • To analyze the continuity of a specific behavior in the visits of the visitors.
  • To analyze the continuity of two different behaviors of the visitors.

is possible.

In order to perform this analysis, it is necessary to select the events to be analyzed from the event selection menus in the window that appears after selecting "did" from the menu next to the date selection.
