New Segment

New Segment allows you to create segments from visitors using RMC analytics data.

New Segment page; you can get it by selecting Segment > New Segment.

On this page:

Steps of Creating Segment
  • Select Date Range field is determined to be part of the time to be included in the segment and it is decided to be based on visitor-based (visitor-based) or visit-based.
  • The dimension is determined for the segment to be created from the Select Dimension field.
  • If you want to create a segment with more than one dimension; AND can be included in multiple dimension segments using OR operators.

Segment Date Range Determination

  1. Using the RMC Analytical data, the date range of the audience to be included in the segment to be created from the visitors is determined.

     Example for Date Range

You can choose between existing date ranges such as Last 3 Hours, Today, This Week, Last 180 Days; You can customize the date range using Last X Days, Before X Days Ago, and Custom Dates.

  2. The name for the segment to be created is the entered field.

  3. If the segment to be created is also to be used in the Target module, the Use in Realtime option should be selected.

  4. It is the area where the segment to be created should be Visitor Based or Visit Based.

Segment Dimensioning

When creating a segment; The dimensions to create the segment from the Select Dimension field are selected and determined by the mass visitors to be included in the segment using rmc analytical data.

Segment sizes;

  • Visitor - the actions taken by the visitors on the site and their features,
  • Events - actions taken on the site,
  • Visit Segments -  custom-defined visit-based segments

in 3 different ways.

Visitor

Visitors on the site; their first visit to the site, the number of pages they viewed, the amount of products they put in the basket, age, gender, demographic characteristics of visits, the behavior on the site and provides a variety of features according to a variety of different features.

When creating visitor-based dimensions, in the Select Dimensions area, the value to be included in the segment under the Visitor header is selected and a value is entered with the help of a matching operator.

Matching Operators

When creating segment sizes; the desired value is defined by pairing operators. The following lists the matching operators that the dimensions can take.

Aritmetik OperatörlerSemantik Operatörler

Create Segment with Specified Dimensions

AND (all) and OR (any) operators using the dimensions created by associating; multiple sizes can be included in the segment.

AND / OR Logic Elements

There are two basic rules that must be taken into account when including the dimensions by associating them with each other:

  • AND logic operator; It should be used when it is desired to provide all the conditions defined for the desired dimensions.
  • OR logic operator; It should be used when it is desired to provide any conditions defined for the desired dimensions.

Dimensions

- Dimension1: A set of values that the first dimension created for the segment.

- Dimension2: A set of values that the second dimension created for the segment.

- Dimension1 AND Dimenson2: A set of values that the two dimensions intersect with the AND operator.

- Dimension1 OR Dimension2: A set of values owned by the two dimensions combined with the OR operator.

Validation and Implementation

Once the segment dimensions have been created, they can be tested and started with the help of the buttons described below.

  •  : It is used to forward the file containing the segment data to the Datawarehouse module.

  •  : Included in segment segment; anonymous and known visitors are used to download .txt or .csv format according to keyid values. The information in the Data Templates section is how the data file should be configured.
  •  : It is used to display the number of Anonymous Visitor and Familiar Visitor visitors included in the segment.

  •  : Used to save the segment mass with a different name when changes are made.

  •  : The generated segment is used to save the data.
